Shannon Bunn calls Laurie Barber "one of the most incredible women I know" and after we spoke with Laurie this morning, I think we would have to agree!

Laurie is just an inspiration to all of us to be better people. To think of others. To relentlessly pursue kindness, even in the most adverse conditions. She's just an awesome person, and we're so thankful that our community has been blessed with her and her giving spirit.

And that's why Laurie is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award! Just see what all her friend, Shannon, had to say about her in Laurie's nomination letter.

I would like to nominate one of the most incredible women I know, Laurie. I work with Laurie at a Pediatric clinic, and not only does she lover her job, but she also goes above and beyond for our patients and their families. If she sees a family in need she will do everything in her power to provider whatever she can for the family (whether it be a meal, or clothes, or even just help babysit). She is a volunteer at an organization called Roy's Kids where she gets to help less fortunate kids in our area. She works full time, is in school, and has a family of her own, yet she still manages to find time to help Roy's kids get Christmas gifts and back to school supplies etc. ready for the kids. The word "no" is simply not in her vocabulary. She is an angle here on earth to many people. She is going to shoot me for this nomination because she does not do ANY of these things for prais e. but I feel that she deserves every bit of it.

Laurie Barber, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Laurie to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
