In fact, if Shelly ever needs someone to highlight the type of person she is, Malarie is a shoe-in for the job. She wrote to tell us of this incredible woman's dedication to others. Her love, her kindness, her compassion, all the qualities that Shelly demonstrates on a daily basis; we got to read about them all.

And it's those qualities that made Shelly an easy choice as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

There are not enough words to describe the kind of person Mrs. Shelly is. She is one of the most kind-hearted, genuine, selfless, and hardworking people I have ever known. She cares deeply about people—even those she barely knows. The thing about Mrs. Shelly is that you never have to ask her for help. She somehow automatically knows when someone needs something, and she is already there extending a helping hand before anyone has the chance to ask. Whether in her home life or her work life, she gives endlessly of herself. She consistently puts others before herself and never expects anything in return. There is absolutely no judgment in her heart. She meets people where they are, believes in them, and never questions their abilities. It doesn’t matter if you are family by blood or family by choice—Mrs. Shelly will show up and show out. She loves fiercely, helps without hesitation, and gives without keeping score. Her heart speaks louder than anything else ever could. In all my years of working with different people, I have never had a coworker with a heart quite like hers, nor have I ever known someone who works as hard as she does. Her kindness isn’t something she turns on when it’s convenient. Her generosity isn’t reserved only for certain people. Loving and helping others is simply who she is. I am incredibly thankful that I get to call her not only my coworker but my friend. The world is genuinely a better place because Mrs. Shelly is in it, and I hope she knows just how much of a difference she makes in the lives of everyone lucky enough to know and love her.
