This Week’s Caught in the Act Award Goes to Chandler Cahn [VIDEO]

Chandler Cahn is one of those guys the rest of us just love to be around. His perpetual smile and constant positive attitude make us all gravitate towards him and draw from his strength. It's easy to see how a man like this could prove himself a great addition to any field, but he chose to serve and protect with the Louisiana State Police.

And it's his smile and positivity that made him a shoe-in for this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just take a look at the nomination letter we got from his best friend and LSP partner, Justin Wardell.

Chandler and I went through the State Police Academy together and are now State Troopers at Troop G. He is one of the hardest working Troopers I have the pleasure of working with on a daily basis, but more importantly, he is one of my best friends. His positive attitude and motivation is without a doubt a vital factor in how I was able to make it through the LSP Academy. In some of our hardest training days, when we were beat down, exhausted, and defeated, Chandler would ALWAYS have a smile on his face to cheer you up. Still to this day he inspires me and many others around him to work harder and be better at what we do. Chandler is constantly making monumental felony arrests, and always goes above and beyond our normal duty to ensure a job well done. He is very well known around the Team for his successful recovery of countless stolen vehicles, that can now be safely returned to their owners. Whether it be the times he has come off duty to help me with something I needed around the house, or the times that we were in some of the most dangerous situations of our career, Chandler will ALWAYS have your back. There is no better Officer or Trooper that you would want to hear on the other end of that radio, coming to you when you need help. For that reason, I would like to nominate my best friend and my partner, Chandler Cahn, for the Kiss Country Caught In The Act Award.

Chandler Cahn, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
