Nathan Disotell Is Latest Caught in the Act Recipient
When a co-worker described Nathan Disotell as kind, compassionate, caring and selfless, we knew we had to see more.

Those were just a few of the incredible adjectives that Shelby Hebert used to describe Nathan. And the more we learned about Nathan, the more we understood just how amazing this man truly is, and how blessed our area is that he lives among us!
It's the spirit and willingness to serve that Nathan so freely shares with his family, patients and co-workers that we celebrate this week.
Just read Nathan's nomination letter and you'll see how easy it was to name him our latest recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!
Nathan Disotell is the Chief CRNA at Ochsner LSU in Shreveport, and consistently goes above and beyond for both his patients and his coworkers. He exemplifies compassion in every interaction, taking the time to reassure anxious patients, hold a hand when it’s needed, and make each person feel seen, heard, and cared for during what can be one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. He puts the needs of others before his own, staying late to make sure cases are covered, problems are solved, and both patients and staff are taken care of. He leads by example, creating a culture of teamwork, accountability, and kindness. To Nathan, his coworkers are more than colleagues—they’re family. Outside of work, Nathan’s selflessness continues. He is a devoted husband and father who cherishes every opportunity to support his family, whether he’s cheering on his daughter at softball games or traveling to the University of Arkansas to watch his other daughter cheer. His commitment to his family reflects the same values he brings to work every day: dedication, loyalty, and an unwavering willingness to put others first. Nathan is the kind of person who rarely seeks recognition for all that he does, but he is exactly the kind of person who deserves it. His compassion, leadership, and servant’s heart have made a lasting impact on countless patients and coworkers alike.
