10 years ago tomorrow, millions of Americans will reflect on the tragedy that was 9-11-01 and collectively we will grieve. At the same time we'll rejoice that our wonderful country not only survived, but has taken steps to reassure its citizens that terrorist behavior will not be tolerated or repeated.
As Kiss Country continues to reflect on one of the worst days in American History, we are reminded that an act of cowardice could never destroy the fiber that IS America. Within hours of the attacks on the World Trade Center September 11, 2001, George Bush said, "The resolve of our great nation is being tested. Make no mistake, we will show the world that we will pass this test!"
The memories of that dreadful day are as clear as if it were yesterday. We promised as a country to "NEVER FORGET" and to be perfectly honest, I don't think we could forget even if we wanted to. Hopefully we learned something from that devastation and will never allow it to repeat. If you'd like to share your memory just shoot me an email at email@example.com.
We will NEVER forget! Remember how popular that was in the months just after September 11, 2001? Remember all the yellow ribbons and the rampant American pride? With the 10th anniversary of this event coming this Sunday, we pause to reflect on those memories every day with stories from Kiss Country Staffers and Listeners. If you'd like to share your memory of that day, just email garymccoy@to
As Kiss Country continues to share the many memories of the worst day in American history, more and more stories roll in. As the 10th Anniversary of this awful day rapidly approaches, we'll continue to share these memories in an effort to assure that none of us could ever forget. And through the Grace of God, we'll never have to live through anything like it again. Today's memory comes from Jen
