Stacy Alexander Is This Week’s Recipient of Caught in the Act Award [VIDEO]
This morning we discovered what it means to be someone's "2am Friend." That's the friend you can call at any hour of the day or night, and no questions asked, they'll be there for you.
Beth Thomas wrote to tell us about her 2am friend, Stacy Alexander. Stacy has been there for Beth for over 25 years, and what was even more interesting to find out, was that Stacy is there for all those who know and love her.
Just take a look at the nomination letter we got from Beth and you'll see how easy it was to name Stacy Alexander as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.
Gary and Bristol, Let me tell you about my 2 a.m. friend. Her name is Stacy Alexander and she is the D.O.N. at North Caddo Medical Center. She is what I consider the utmost "Healthcare Hero". She makes her staff feel like family... and I can tell you why. For years, I have gotten to watch from behind the scenes. I know I don't know all that she does but I have seen enough examples to make me want to let the whole Kiss Country know how awesome she is. The spirit of giving is something that was instilled in her by her parents. I have seen countless holidays that Stacy will buy gifts and deliver to families in need. When she hears of someone that has fallen upon hard time... I've seen her delivery groceries to their doors. That's not mentioning the times she has helped a friend have their car fixed or helped someone bury a loved one. Most of the time she attempts to be anonymous but the smile she has gives her away.
When Covid hit.... the porch drop offs ramped up. When her staff was out she would call them each day to check on them. She would make drop off's on her way home. For weeks she dropped off food, drinks, medications and even Lysol. She still continues to do that. Recently she overheard a staff member mention that they could not find bleach wipes or lysol anyway... the next day she meet them at their car with a care package of all the things she needed. She just knows how to make your heart smile!!! And she NEVER wants recognition for being the generous soul that she is. So I would like to nominate her for Caught in the Act because she makes my world and so many other's a much happier place.
Stacy Alexander, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to Stacy to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
