In case you didn't know, the Shreveport-Bossier City area has its own unofficial holiday: 318 Day.  If you aren't making the connection, March 18th written out numerically is 318 - AKA the Shreveport-Bossier City area code.  When you think about it, we should have been making a bigger deal out of this for years.  I've always thought that the only thing this town needs to throw a huge, city-wide party is an excuse, and this is the perfect one!

Let's Get The 318 Party Started in Shreveport-Bossier City!

OK, so maybe we don't have parades and fancy dress parties set up for the occasion (yet), McDonalds is set to commemorate our very special day with a gift for us all.  I guess they assumed that we would love some free food - and they were right!  According to a report from the Shreveport Times, on Friday (3-18) you can grab a free crispy chicken sandwich by using the restaurant's mobile app - no purchase necessary.

Lunch On 318 is Covered in The Shreveport-Bossier City Area - As Long As You Follow The Rules

Before you cross lunch plans for Friday off of your to-do list, just know that there are a few restrictions to this chicken sandwich free-for-all.  You must claim your chicken sandwich through the official McDonalds app, and the offer is only good on 3-18 at participating restaurants that are covered by the 318 area code.
