Sharon Craig Is Newest Recipient of Caught in the Act Award

Over the years I've met some really incredible people that have made major impacts on my life. People that have truly made me want to be a better person. One of those people is Melanie McHan.

And for Melanie to write us nominating someone else for the Caught in the Act Award held a special place in my heart. As I read Melanie's letter, it occurred to me. "If someone as awesome as Melanie is in awe of this lady, how could she NOT be one of the finest people on the planet?" And when I saw the letter was about her own sister in law, Sharon Craig, I knew that this lady was a shoe-in to be recognized as our recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Sharon's kindness and love for all she ever crosses paths with are known the world over! And now, her heroics are also being recognized here on Kiss Country. Just look at the letter we received and see if you don't agree.

Share aka Sissy to all of those of us who know and love her. She is beautiful inside and out!!!! She is there in a moment's notice to help in any situation. There are so many times she has given of herself that it’s hard to button down just one.
I was in a car accident some years ago. When I finally got to go home, Sissy was there thinking of ways to help make life easier for me. She would go to work for half a day then come and take me to therapy 2-3 times a week...asking for nothing in return.
One afternoon she had stopped at a store and as she was finishing her transaction there was an elderly lady who had been at the CenturyLink for a seminar. She had gotten turned around and now she was lost. So my sister in law, being the person she is, gave the lady directions but could tell that the lady was still confused about how to get to where she needed to go. So Sissy told the lady to follow her and she would get her to a familiar area. The lady said if she could just get to Dillard’s at the mall, Pierre Bossier Mall she could get home from there. Apparently she had worked at Dillard’s years ago. Sissy live in South Bossier and was just a few miles from her house but with felt she needed to get the lady to a place she recognized. With the mission complete Sharon then made her way home.
I could go on all day about the random acts of kindness she does daily!!!! This family would be lost without her.
She ALWAYS puts others before herself and it doesn’t matter how time consuming or how much work is involved. She jumps in feet first and all in!!!

 

Sharon Craig, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
