Lifted In Faith Visits First Baptist Haughton and Lifts Broken Hearts

Over the last 50 years, God has blessed me in so many ways that I couldn't even begin to count, but one of the biggest blessings has been introducing me to some incredible people.  A couple years ago, at Anytime Fitness on Stockwell Road, he introduced me to Mike Mosura of Bossier City and Brad Hornback of Haughton.  

I was immediately drawn to them and it only took a few minutes to find out why.  Not only were they the strongest guys in the gym, but they were obviously men of God.  They just glowed in their Christianity. And it wasn't long until I learned these 2 "gentle giants" were part of one of the most incredible ministries I've ever witnessed.

"Lifted in Faith" is comprised of Brad Hornback, 6'3", 295 pounds, Mike Mosura, Chad Diven, 6'3", 275 pounds, Keith Nelson, 6'2", 255 pounds, and Chad Hyman of Conway, Arkansas.  The team travels the globe spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through feats of strength and conviction.

Actually, they just tear things up. Baseball bats, frying pans, phone books, claw hammers...all ripped to shreds by these Godly Warriors.  And last night, I had the joy of watching Lifted in Faith as they visited First Baptist Haughton and entertained hundreds of people from churches all over the area.  And these guys did not disappoint.

They blew the place apart with broken boards and concrete, twisted steel....and a house full of "lifted hearts" as they constantly reminded those in attendance of the scripture, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

I couldn't believe the number of young people moved to tears with a new, or renewed, Christian conviction.  And though they were amazed with the power the guys demonstrated breaking aluminum and wood baseball bats, twisting horseshoes like a pretzel and blowing up a hot water bottle, it was the sheer power of the message that moved them...and only a Godly calling can make that happen.

It just so happened that God chose these guys...and I think he, once again, showed his wisdom in that decision.

Should you ever read that these guys will appear near you, drop everything else, grab the kids and everyone else you can think of, and get there early.  Seats will fill up fast.
