DOTD Closes LA 3132 Lane for Urgent Work
I think it would be safe to say that over the past few weeks, the Louisiana Department of Transportation has been as busy as many of us can ever recall.

Between the near daily bridge inspections, the normal construction jobs, and the endless line of emergency repair jobs they are addressing, the DOTD workforce is definitely running on all cylinders.
And now, in another announcement from DOTD, we learn of another repair issue they'll need to address immediately.
In this notice, DOTD is advising all motorists that today from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, they will need to close the outside (right) lane of LA 3132 eastbound between Walker Road and US 171 (Mansfield Rd) in order to allow for leveling of roadway panels at this location.
Motorists are urged to be aware that crews and equipment will be on site, and are reminded to drive with caution through the work zone.
Existing permitted oversize loads will be accommodated through the work zone.
As with all DOTD projects, the work will be performed "Weather Permitting" so any inclement weather could delay, extend or alter in other ways, the scheduled work day/hours.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
