Kim Tuminello Is Latest Recipient of Caught in the Act Award
Odds are that when you reflect on your youth, some of your fondest memories are those of beloved school teachers or a special principal who was always nice to you.
Such is the case with Mrs. Tuminello at Sun City Elementary. Not only is she Sun City's principal, but she was a teacher for years and scores of Bossier youth will never forget just how blessed they were to have her in their lives.
We were reminded of that when we received her nomination letter from her daughter Brooke Wallace, who made it so easy to name Kim this week's most deserving recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.
Let me tell you a little bit about Kim Tuminello. Not only is she my mom but she is also the Principal at Sun City Elementary. Everyday she puts a smile on her face and greets every one with open arms no matter the pain she is in. She needed shoulder surgery but she didn’t let that stop her. When she took on the task of planning my wedding she stayed up countless nights working on wedding stuff with basically one arm because her other shoulder hurt so bad. She didn’t let it stop her. She gave me the most beautiful wedding. She has impacted 100s of students throughout her years of teaching and being a principal. She’s a KiKi to 7 grand babies that have her heart. She had her second shoulder surgery a few weeks ago and the next day she was at one of her grandson’s basketball games because that’s what a KiKi does. There’s no other KiKi or mom or principal or teacher like her and that’s why I think she should be the next Caught in The Act Award Recipient.
Kim Tuminello, thank you for being so amazing! You are a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live! And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to Kim to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
