John Boyett is This Week’s Recipient of Caught in the Act Award
John Boyett has made a huge impact on the life of his nephew, Thomas McVicker. He's taught "Tommy" how to be a man of God, a father and husband, and how to care for others.
In fact, in John's nomination letter we received from Tommy, we learned of just how much John means to his nephew and after reading the letter, we learned just how much John cares for all of those with whom he manages to cross paths.
And it's John's compassion and kindness that made him an easy choice as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.
Just look at the letter we got from Thomas:
Good morning and thank you for taking the time to read my nomination this morning. I would like to nominate my boss, my uncle, my mentor, and most importantly a friend to anyone who is in need, Mr. John Boyett. There is not enough that can be said about this devoted husband and father that could describe the kind of person he truly is. His story began with his wife years ago where they began their journey from their garage to owning their own printshop located on Kings Hwy. Anyone who has had this journey knows the struggle and time it can take to develop their own business, but no matter how busy he is, John still manages to make time to help others whenever they are in need. No mater if it is devoting time to volunteer at local churches and charities, donating print jobs to local non-profit agencies or just lending an ear with words of advice to whoever is in need of it, John will be there. I cant express the amount of admiration I have for this man. When I think of what type of husband or father I want to be, I think of John Boyett. I think of all the times he has offered his advice to me and has showed me that someone still cares even when it seems that care cannot be found. I think of the number of times he has shown me what it means to be a man of God, to love everyone, and show compassion. I can say that without a doubt I would not be where I am today in life without this man to guide me through it all. I cannot think of a more deserving person of this award than Mr. John Boyett. Thank you again for your time this morning.
John Boyett, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse and Silver Star Grille have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to John to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
