Jackson Vickers Is This Week’s Caught in the Act Recipient
Talk to any teacher you know and you'll find they usually only remember a couple of kids from each class.

Those two kids are normally the best in the class, and the worst.
But, when the student is so far above average, that even the school administration makes note of their character, you know you've got a real winner.
Such is the case with Jackson Vickers! Because of his servant's heart and willingness to serve others, the assistant principal of Kingston Elementary, Mrs. Amber Beach, is the one who wrote us this incredible nomination letter, making him an easy choice as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!
Jackson Vickers, a senior at Benton High School, serves as a Community Involvement worker in the afternoons at Kingston Elementary. But Jackson is so much more than a student worker—he has quickly become a cherished member of our Kingston Family. From the office staff to teachers and even our Kinder Cubs, everyone LOVES Jackson. In a world where qualities like kindness, respect, social engagement, and hard work aren't always second nature for teens, Jackson stands out. Every day, he arrives with a smile, ready to help wherever he's needed. No task is too big or too small—whether it's running errands, heavy lifting, organizing papers, walking students to their destinations, assisting teachers, reading to students, helping with projects, or even dressing as King the Cub for our Christmas program, Jackson is always ready and willing to do whatever needs to be done. One of the most inspiring parts of my day is watching Jackson interact with our youngest students. He’s always there with high fives, hugs, fist bumps, encouragement, band-aids, or simply a listening ear—whatever they need, Jackson is there for it. He embodies what it means to have a servants heart. While Community Involvement may be his class, Jackson is so much more. He is a light, a joy, and an exceptional young man. He’s the type of student others should look up to as a role model. I can’t imagine Benton High School, Kingston Elementary, or his parents being blessed with a better young man—and that’s a high compliment coming from a Haughton Buccaneer serving as the assistant principal at Kingston Elementary!
Jackson Vickers, because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Magnolia Pit Barbecue have a $50 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to Jackson to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
