How Cheap is the Cheapest Gas in Louisiana? You Will Be Amazed

Imagine that you'd gone short-term Rip Van Winkle. Imagine that you'd nodded off, say, sometime around the first of the year when gas prices in the Ark-La-Tex were averaging about $1.90 a gallon for regular. And then imagine that you woke up this morning and your first thought was, "Fill 'er up!"

Most likely, you'd pass out again when you saw the latest prices. Yep, in just about ten months the Biden administration has overseen an increase in the per-gallon price of gasoline of about 75%. And that's just in Louisiana. In the always overtaxed state of California, regular gas will run you upwards of $4.50 a gallon and a number of other spots in the US are flirting with the $4 mark.

So, in one sense, we in Louisiana are lucky. But, on the other hand, folks all over the state are still looking for bargains at the pump. And (who knew?) there really are quite a few to be found. And not only across Louisiana, but right here in the Shreveport and Bossier City area.
