Flea Beaty Is Newest Recipient of Caught in the Act Award [VIDEO]

Yep, his name is Flea. And he jokes that "I didn't get that nickname because I was sitting still." Course, Flea says that of his days in Mr. Sherman French's middle school class, where Flea says, "I was a C student." Little did Flea, or Mr. French, ever think the day would come when Mr. French would need help. A lot of help. And who came to his rescue? It was Flea Beaty.

And because of Flea's selflessness, we're tickled to honor him as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award. Just check out the nomination letter we got from Mr. French and you'll see just how easy it was to bestow this honor on Flea for this week.

I would like to nominate Flea Beaty for Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award. As you all know we have had a lot of rain lately and trees especially big pine trees are not able to handle it. One morning I woke up and a huge pine tree was uprooted because the ground was so saturated. The tree had not just fallen it had fallen on a fence and onto someone else's property. I really didn't know what I was going to do and I'm not really one to ask for help. Little did I know my granddaughter would do just that, she knew I needed help (not sure why I'm only 89 years young). She sent Flea a message asking could he or did he know someone that could help me with this huge tree. Flea did not hesitate and told her he would be there the next morning to see what he could do. He did just that and was there to look at it early that very next day. Flea said, "we can get this done I'll be back Fri day with my chainsaw to get it all cut up." With the help of Flea and my family the tree was cut up in a few hours and cleaned up within a few days. Flea was definitely a lifesaver, I really don't know what we would have done if he didn't volunteer his time that day. The thing is I was Flea's middle school teacher (I knew him as Chris) at Christ the King School, I would have never thought I would need his assistance one day. I just want to tell Flea thank you so much for all your help that day. It really meant a lot and I am forever grateful! Flea definitely deserves to be Caught in the Act!

Flea Beaty, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
