Faith Run For Christy Gallegos This Sunday at Veteran’s Park

Christy Holbrook Gallegos was my friend.  In fact, if you ever met Christy, you were her friend.  Though I was a couple years older than her, we went to high school together at Trinity Heights Christian Academy in North Shreveport.  She went on to become a flight nurse aboard Life Air Rescue and touched literally thousands of lives.  Christy lost her battle with cancer recently and if the loss of her wasn't enough, her husband and children were left with a massive stack of medical bills.  To aid paying off those bills, this Sunday, April 29th, the 5K "Faith Run" will be held starting at Veteran's Park.  The race will begin at 8am and novel to this one is that strollers and wagons will be allowed in the event you'd like to walk with the kids.  Race Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12 years old, t-shirts not included.
