Elaine Ramoz says that overseeing Special Olympics of Northwest Louisiana is not a job, but it's her calling. And her selfless spirit shines through on a daily basis. Unbeknownst to Elaine, others like Haley Parker are paying attention and have noticed that Elaine's compassion and love for others, should be recognized by the whole world.

We were only to glad to accommodate! After reading Haley's nomination letter about Elaine, we knew there was only one person who was worthy of this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award, and to represent all of Kiss Country as this year's Grand Marshal of the Krewe of Gemini Parade on February 10, and that person was Elaine.

Just take a look at the nomination letter we got from Haley and it will show you just how awesome Elaine is:

Elaine is probably the most caring person I know. She puts others before her self in everything she does and is always doing for everyone else. She is in charge of Special Olympics for the North West Louisiana area and works tirelessly to make it meaningful to the people involved. She goes above and beyond in her position by always having events and by making lasting bonds with all of the athletes. My younger sister has Down syndrome and Elaine treats her like a little sister. They hangout and just go do things together, not because they have to but because Elaine has such a big heart. She has even taken me under her wing and helped me become a better and more giving person. She has helped me gain confidence and lead events for the community. Last weekend we held an event for kids too young to join Special Olympics. It was an amazing event and helped many families gain a sense o f community. Throughout the many years I have known Elaine, I have came to realize that I don't know a more selfless and loving person than her. I am so grateful for the bond I have with her and the time I get to spend with her helping others and enriching our community.

Elaine Ramoz, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse and Silver Star Grille have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

And courtesy of the Krewe of Gemini, we want to add another special accolade to this honor! Elaine will serve as Grand Marshal of this year's Krewe of Gemini Parade. (We did make sure that she understood that if parade watchers hold up their Kiss Country sign, she'll make sure to throw beads your way!)

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Elaine to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
