Dan Felicetty is This Week’s Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award Recipient
We're not sure that Dan Felicetty ever sleeps, even though he swears he naps every chance he gets. We just don't see how it's possible with all he does for others in our community.
With his work with military and first responder families to the time he spends helping neighbors and perfect strangers, he's got to be one of God's favorite men. And his own wife, Kathy Felicetty has been paying attention. It was her nomination letter that made it easy to recognize Dan as this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award recipient.
I would like to nominate Dan Felicetty for the “Caught in the Act’ award. A patriot in every sense of the word, Dan is a veteran of the Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War. He is also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. This is an organization based in the United States whose members attend funerals and escort the fallen members of the U. S. military, firefighters, and police at the invitation of the deceased’s family. Sometimes they are the only ones at the funeral. He has stood in the flag line in the cold, in the heat, and in the rain to honor those who have served our country. With his own funds, he purchased an American flag and the flags representing all of the branches of military service for our church. He makes sure they are put out every patriotic holiday. Another way he has given is he has donated over 16 gallons of blood and has received letters thanking him for saving lives. Children are dear to his heart, as well. He organized our local Harley Owners Group Christmas Toy Run to the Shriner Hospital and never hesitates to lift a child up and let them sit on his bike. He cares for his neighbors and will mow a neighbor’s yard just because he’s mowing his. He’s paid for meals for people in the military. His legacy will continue as he has raised two sons who are caring and kind, and they are raising their children to be just like him. He has 6 grandchildren and he always attends their sporting events. He’s so proud of each one of them. Dan Felicetty is an exceptional man who cares for others and in return, many care for him. He is not only my husband and best friend but he is also my HERO. This is why he should be awarded the Caught in the Act award.
Dan Felicetty, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner on them!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to Dan to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
