Chad McDowell Is Latest Recipient of Caught in the Act Award

There must be something in the name as this is the second week in a row we're celebrating a local man named Chad!

This time around it's Chad McDowell of Calvary Baptist Academy! One look at the nomination letter we received from the CBA family and you'll see how easy it was to select him as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

I would like to tell you about Chad McDowell, the Superintendent for Calvary Baptist Academy. Words cannot express the countless sacrifices Chad makes for the school but more importantly the students. The CBA family is grateful to have him. To describe Chad in one word is impossible but if we had to choose, it would be SERVAT. Chad truly serves the Lord, the students and faculty of CBA daily.
Chad is impossible to miss around the halls of CBA and can be seen and heard cheering on the Cavs at EVERY sporting event, whether in town or road trip required. Throughout the day Chad can also be caught spinning a basketball on every new student’s finger, texting pics of your student to the parents, working carline in the rain with umbrellas, to a surprise Sonic or Chick fil A lunch for a lucky class.
I could go on and on about the impact Chad makes every day at CBA but one thing that stands out the most; during the Covid shut down, Chad personally delivered donuts to CBA student’s doorsteps with a note of inspiration and a bible verse! Chad has a special gift to connect with each student and let them know they are loved. Thank you, McDowell family, for sharing him with us, CBA is so blessed to have him.
