Carolyn Burroughs Is This Week’s Caught in the Act Recipient

We managed to do it again this morning! We made a full grown lady cry on the radio!

Of course these were tears of joy. Tears of appreciation. Tears of gratitude and genuine thoughtfulness.

Who was it that we made cry? She is Carolyn Burroughs and she's this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more deserving nominee. Just look at the nomination letter we received from her entire staff at Bossier Parish Community College and you'll see why.

For over 30 years Carolyn has exemplified serene calm, strength, compassion, and understanding to those she has lead. Large problems, small problems – if they are important to you, they are important to her. She freely gives one of the most valuable assets in demand of her position – her time. If you need her, she’ll be there for you. Her leadership traits are impossible to teach, hard to employ and she does it with remarkable grace, serenity, and strength. The world is a better place with her in it. She goes above and beyond to make sure her employees are taken care of not only in the work place but outside circumstances too. She has one employee that had a car that broke down. The staff took up a collection to help but were several hundred short. Carolyn took out her personal credit card and paid the balance. She has another with a sick child and has to miss work quite often. Most would be irritated but not her she is understanding and ready to lend a helping hand where she can. Whether it be through calls, emails, text she is always there. No matter what she has going on in her own personal life she is still just a phone call away. Through the loss of her son, her mother and her sister she still put others needs before her own. The reasons above are just a few examples of why we all believe that Carolyn Burroughs should be nominated for the caught in the act award. If anyone would deserve this honor it would be her.
