Troy obviously has a deep love and respect for Carl and Vickie Trent, as evidenced by his letter, and their devotion to family and friends is what made them an easy selection as this week's recipients of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Family. A word we take for granted all the time. Carl and Vickie Trent are my In Laws, and over the last 26 years of marriage to their daughter Carla, they have taught me how important the word Family really is. Carl and Vickie are the most selfless and loving people who are always willing to lend a helping hand, a kind word, or whatever you may need at the time. Myself, my wife Carla, my daughter Kristen and my son Collin have been blessed to have that unconditional love and support they have given us through all the good, the bad, the happy, and the sad times. Never asking for anything and always giving of themselves, they have always had such a positive effect on whoever they have come across. Having been lucky enough to see firsthand what it is to give everything of yourself to the ones you love has had a profound effect on myself and guided the way I try to be with my own family. They are always there to show their love and support for whatever it is, no matter how far away, no matter the time of day, no matter what the weather is, they are there. Just knowing you have that love and support and it will always be there is a very comforting thing. The times we live in today with all craziness and uncertainties we seem to face knowing you have "Family" like Carl and Vickie seem to make things a little less crazy and all the more certain.
