Caddo Shelter in Urgent Need of Animal Fosters During Hard Freeze
As most of us are busy with last minute preparations for the coming hard freeze, the Caddo Parish Animal Services is hoping you can add one item to your list.
Taking to Facebook to make an all out plea to the public, the CPAS is requesting area residents consider the possibility of taking on the role of an animal foster for the next week or two during this extremely frigid weather.
CPAS is in dire, immediate need of a number of temporary foster homes for animals that are housed outdoors.
The service states they have no indoor space available to place these animals and all of their indoor kennels are full, so they have asked residents who can find it in their hearts to get these animals out of the cold for a couple of weeks to please contact Caddo Parish Animal Services as soon as possible.
All supplies for these animals will be provided but CPAS cannot guarantee health, temperament, potty trained or whether or not these animals are good with other animals or children.
If this is something you would consider, all pick ups need to be made by 5:00 pm today, Friday, January 12 at Caddo Parish Animal Services, 1500 Monty Street in Shreveport.
