Papa from one of our favorite BBQ joints in Shreveport needs our help. Do you remember hearing all about Real BBQ during the last government shutdown? Mr. Clay the owner of Real BBQ is always the first to run in and help our community. During one of the longest government shutdowns ever Mr.Clay fed hundreds of federal workers going without pay. Now it's our turn to help him. He desperately needs to find a kidney and time is of the essence. I remember asking Mr.Clay why he volunteered to feed hundreds of federal workers for free his answer was simple,

"If you can't help people when they need help then when are you going to be able to help them?"

Mr. Clay took to his Facebook to beg for the Ark-La-Tex's help. "My name is Harvey Clay, but most folks call me Papa. For those who may not know, I am experiencing EndStage Renal Failure. My kidneys are functioning at less than 10%. I have undergone dialysis three days a week since 2016. Recently, my doctors notified me that time is of the essence and that I require a kidney transplant as soon as possible. My blood type is O and I can only accept a kidney from an O-type donor. If you or someone you know may be that donor, please contact me using this form: https://forms.gle/JZE4pWFyNRf7xSG6A Please consider sharing this message with your friends and family. And from my friends, family and customers…thank you. #Kidney4Papa"
