Anna Speer's heart and home are always open and ready for business!  In her nomination letter that we received from her sister, Carolyne Childress, we learned that Anna is one of those people that make us all aspire to be better. When her sister in law passed away, Anna didn't even think twice before taking on her two nieces and raising them as her own.

It's an amazing letter and made it so easy to declare Anna as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Anna is one of the most genuine kind hearted people on this earth. She’s the mom of 3 beautiful kids and works at Webster Jr. High in Minden. 3 years ago her husbands sister passed away suddenly and left 2 young daughters. Without hesitation she took them in as her own and helped adjust to life without their mom. She has been an exceptional role model for them! This year she has a child in her class who has 2 other siblings (one being disabled in a wheelchair) who’s parents aren’t able to give them Much for Christmas. Again without hesitation she was going to give her own money to give their mom to buy the children gifts. The word got out and the donations kept coming in. She collected enough money to not only help one family but two This Christmas!! Not only is she a blessing to this community but a huge blessing in my life! She will never know how much she truly means to me! I cannot think if anyone more deserving!

Anna Spper, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Anna to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
