The 3rd annual Walk For Autism is coming up April 21st at A.C. Steer Park in Shreveport. The cost is only $5 per walker and it will give you the opportunity to participate in a fun event with your family and friends and support all those affected by autism.

Here is a great tip to fill your garden full of gorgeous plants and save some money! It's time for the annual Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners Association Spring plant sale. Even better, they can help you pick plants and give you tips on keeping them alive! Keeping them alive is always the challenging part for me!

Here's another fun event for the kids! This Saturday at Chimp Haven in Keithville enjoy Chimpanzee Discovery Days. Fun for the entire family and best of all FREE! During Discovery Days we are able to view the chimpanzees in their naturalistic environment and talk to the staff about the chimpanzees’ personalities.

On a day as gorgeous as today I can't help but think of blowing off the rest of the afternoon and heading outdoors to soak up some sunshine. We are fortunate to have a few beautiful parks here in Kiss Country.

They've already experienced television success with their Outdoor Channel 'Duck Commander' series and now the Robertson family has a new show premiering March 21st on A&E called 'Duck Dynasty'. Oddly enough, after Steven watched the first episode of Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic, he brought home a box of MREs. But, that box of ready made meals will only feed us for four days---these crazy folks are planning for years of self sustained living.
