The deterioration of Lake Bistineau State Park is quite surprising to me. If you've been under a rock or maybe you are new to the area, Lake Bistineau is covered in a thick green carpet of Giant Salvinia and the park appears to be slowly falling apart. Is there anything we can do to salvage the glory of this once beautiful retreat?

The 3rd annual Walk For Autism is this morning at A.C. Steer Park in Shreveport. The cost is only $5 per walker and it will give you the opportunity to participate in a fun event with your family and friends and support all those affected by autism.

Haughton's Brandon Digilormo will be walking/biking from Haughton to Nashville, TN in addition to running in Nashville's Music City Marathon! Brandon is a full time traveling evangelist and part of his ministry is this effort to support a Haitian orphanage.
