If you're one of those people who just can't seem to rise and shine with the first ringing of the alarm clock, don't feel like you're alone.  In fact, if you only hit the snooze once a morning, you're actually above average!

According to a new study, the average person spends 14 minutes a day hitting snooze.  If the longest an average clock allows for us to "snooze" is 9 minutes, this means most people have to fumble around in the dark for that magical button at least twice.

Now let's do the math on this one. 14 minutes a day is about 1 hour and 38 minutes a week if you count weekends.  That comes to just under 85 hours a year.  Factor in a school/work life of around 50 years and you'll waste around 177 days of your life drifting off into dreamland while you wait on that clock to sound off once again.

The survey also found the average person gets 6 hours and 36 minutes of sleep a night, sets their alarm for 6:58 A.M., and finally gets out of bed at 7:12.  And about one-third of people now use their phone as their alarm clock.
