Woops! We Interrupt This Marriage Proposal

I remember when I proposed to Julie…I took her out to the end of the pier at Black Bayou in Benton…but I wouldn’t take the ring out there with us because I was afraid I might drop it in the water.   I just gave it to her back up on the bank.  Well, John Iverson of Denver probably should’ve thought about where he was when he was making his proposal.  There he is…popping the question and he dropped the ring…and not just any engagement ring…it was his girlfriend’s mother’s wedding band; So it falls out of his pocket and rolled through a grate into the city sewer system.  Of all the places...THE SEWER!  Well they called the  Denver Fire Department and after about a 45 search THEY FOUND IT.  I'm pretty impressed that they'd even take the time for something like this.  It would have been really easy to say, "Dude, that's the SEWER, we're not going down there", but they did and they actually found the ring.  Oh, and by the way, she said YES...but I bet she didn’t put the ring on right then.
