Whole Foods Market Coming To Shreveport

It's official: Whole Foods Market will be coming to Shreveport-Bossier.

The all-natural food store will be opening a location on East 70th Street in southeast Shreveport, located near Orr BMW by Fern Avenue. This will be the first Whole Foods location in North Louisiana.

The store will be built in the Alexandrine Place mixed-use development, which is also home to Community Trust Bank, Ouachita Independent Bank, Time-It Lube Car Wash, and SportSpectrum.

It will be a 36,000-square foot facility that will be built on 8.2 acres of land.

Construction will begin in early 2014.
