What’s going on across Shreveport and Bossier City this weekend? Whether you’re looking to take in some great high school football, want to see a country music legend or see a new movie we've got you covered in Kiss Country!

Bossier City High School Football Jamboree:
The Bossier City Lions Club High School Football Jamboree will be held this Friday evening at Airline High School Football Stadium. Gates will open at 5 pm and pre-game ceremonies begin at 5:45 pm, with the first game set for a 6 pm kickoff. (more)

Merle Haggard at Horseshoe Friday Night:
The word "legend" usually makes an appearance at some point when discussing Merle Haggard. It's an acknowledgment of his artistry and his standing as "the poet of the common man." (more)

LSU VS TCU Saturday Night 8pm:
No. 12 LSU will face off against the No. 20 TCU Horned Frogs in Dallas. The Tigers are looking to come roaring out of the gate with their eyes on the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA for the BCS Championship Game. (more)

This is the last weekend for the Farmers Market. Operating hours are from 7:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays (more)

K9 Search and Rescue Charity Show:
The event has long been held at beautiful Holly Hill Farm in Benton, LA owned by Robert and Tracy Hewlett, who are no strangers to giving back to the community and hold the only horse trials in Louisiana in the Spring and Fall. If you like horses or want to support the Shreveport K9 Search and Rescue Unit, come by! Visitors are welcome and it’s free to attend. (more)
