Have you ever really thought about what the word "allegiance" means? Webster's defines it as: devotion or loyalty to a person, group, or cause. It goes on to say: the obligation of an alien to the government under which the alien resides.

So, even when things are tough, as citizens of America, we all need to remind ourselves of this devotion. It's like our wedding vows. "For better or worse" you know. It's refreshing to know that, in spite of these politically motivated times, our young ones are still being taught the importance of true allegiance!

There’s not many better ways to get your day going than watching a group of youngsters show their love for America and the Red, White and Blue. And today we’ve got some real winners saying the Pledge of Allegiance for us!

Thanks so much to Mrs. Ogletree’s 3rd grade at Platt Elementary School. They are our featured Kiss Country “Class of the Day” and did an amazing job leading us in the Pledge!
