Once again we are blessed with some of Shreveport-Bossier’s finest! Just look into these faces and you’ll see the future! And from our vantage point, the future is looking bright. These are the faces of real Americans.

Yeah, they are “Americans In Training” but I’m always so proud to know that here in our area, they are being trained to have respect for this incredible country! They recite the Pledge of Allegiance every day, and because it’s important to these students, their teachers and the entire staff, it’s equally as important to us to shine the spotlight on them and their patriotism.

This is today’s Kiss Class of the Day! Let me introduce Mrs. Bridges’ first graders from TL Rodes Elementary School.

In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic and everything it has thrown our way this year, youngsters like this still stand tall and proud ready to tell the world about their allegiance to the Flag that represents us all!

I'm sure they really don't care much about wearing masks all day at school, but it hasn't diminished their patriotic spirit even a little.

Obviously, they are just following the mood and spirit of their leaders! And I can't thank the teachers of Kiss Country enough. Since we are having to play by new rules this year amidst the COVID restrictions, and I'm not personally going to our schools like we've done in the past, we have had to rely on our local teachers to bring us our daily "Kiss Class of the Day" featuring a local elementary class as they recite the Pledge of Allegiance for us.

And our teachers have been only too happy and willing to accommodate. Videos, like this one, of local classes are arriving every day.

We are hoping (and so are the kids) that you'll take a second to watch them as they lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance!
