Amy and Brian Gunn suffered through something that no parent should ever have to endure.  Their 16 year old son, Tristian Gunn, was killed in a automobile accident September 20th, 2015.

And instead of dwelling on their devastating loss, the Gunns decided they wanted to bring something positive out of their loss and to keep Tristian's memory alive, and his passion for bass fishing, last year they started an annual bass tournament that would fund college scholarships to students from North Desoto and Linden Kildare high schools.

Amy writes:

We will give 1 scholarship to Linden Kildare High School in Linden, TX and 1 to North Desoto High School (to someone on the fishing team), as he attended ND all through his school years and had just transferred to Linden when the accident occurred.  This past year we raised $2,300.00 and hope to raise even more this year.

So the 2nd Annual Tristian Lane Gunn Memorial Bass Tournament will be held Saturday, September 29 on Caddo Lake at the Earl G. Williamson Park.

Entry fee is $100 per 2-man team and another $10 per angler for Big Bass.  Weigh in will be at 3:30 pm at Earl G. Williamson Park.

Half of all entries will be paid to competitors and the other half will go towards the Scholarship Fund.

Hamburger plates will be provided to each paid entry at weigh in and additional plates will be sold for $5 each.  There will also be raffle tickets sold at the weigh in for door prizes with all funds going to the Scholarship Fund.
