Okay, let me start off by saying they were happy tears, but this morning Bristol made a lady cry on the radio. That lady is Jane Sutton and she just squalled as Bristol read her the nomination letter we received from her daughter, Amanda Stevens!

In that letter, Amanda described the kindness and generosity that Jane has demonstrated all of her life. She's gone through hardship and difficult times, but Jane has never let up on the gas.

She's always there for family, friends, community and church. And she's certainly more than qualified to be this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Just look at that letter we got from Amanda:

I would like to nominate my mother, Jane Sutton, for the “Caught in the Act” award. She is one of the sweetest most caring people in this world. I don’t even know if I can tell you all the things that this woman has done for family and friends, but I will try. When I was a teenager, my dad got sick and had to have a heart transplant. He was no longer able to work. My mom worked her butt off to provide for our family. My dad passed away from cancer 7 years ago and my mom was heartbroken. She continued to work until she was able to retire at the age of 65. Now my mom stays busier than ever. She has a 16 year old grandson, who is diabetic, that lives with her and it isn’t easy on her. She is always there for any of us if we need her to take a kid to the doctor or check one out when sick or even get a kid to ball practice. She goes above and beyond for her kids and grandkids . She has even flown to Florida to help out her sister when her and her husband were going through some medical issues. And that’s just for family. Now we can talk about the many things that she does for the community and church. She has bought school clothes and school supplies for one of her neighbors when times were tough. She has even mailed a Christmas present to the little girl and made it anonymous just so the little girl would feel special. When she did work she was able to donate her time to the school so that one of the school programs could get a $500 donation from her employer. She has donated many hours with the pregnancy center in Minden. We have a small church group of ladies that get together for dinner once a month and she always makes sure to call everyone and will even drive the older ladies that can’t drive to the restaurant. During Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas she donates food and presents to the church for those in need. I really could go on and on . My mom is an Angel and she does not get the credit that she deserves. God truly blessed me and my two brothers with an awesome mom and I do not know what I would do without her. She is my best friend and I love her.

Jane Sutton, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live! And because you've been "Caught in the Act" the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Jane to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
