Holly Hill Farm is a busy place, but now it's even busier, because it's the temporary home of dozens of horses displaced by the recent flood waters.

Holly Hill is a equestrian center in Benton, LA that not only boards and trains horses, they have a breeding center and also offer lessons in addition to hosting various shows and clinics. The facility generally boards around 65 horses, but that number has basically doubled in the last week. Why? Because horse owners needed to find high ground for their equine partners.

With the devastating flooding throughout our area, several farms in southern Bossier Parish have had to evacuate, including Wildwood and Faith Farms in Elm Grove, LA.

Owners Bobby and Tracy Hewlett and the folks at Holly Hill Farm are just some of the people here in the Ark-La-Tex who have stepped up to help their friends and neighbors. It's times like these when you realize what a great place we live in. When disaster strikes, we offer a helping hand, whether it's making sure horses are taken care of, pets have a safe place to stay or kids have school uniforms and a neck to hug when they get scared.

A big thank you to Scott Loftin from Townsquare Media for the video interview with Tracy Hewlett from Holly Hill Farm.

Here are some pictures from friends of the flooding at Wildwood Farm in Elm Grove, LA. Our hearts and prayers go out to Paul and Donna Kroehnke and the Wildwood Farm family.

Here's video we took with Tuff Hedeman in 2015 at Wildwood Farm so you can see what the farm normally looks like.
