An elderly Shreveport man faces years in prison after a Caddo Parish jury determined Friday, November 8, 2024, that he had strangled and beaten his wife last year.

Fortunately, the victim in this case is expected to recover. The Shreveport Police Department urges all victims of domestic violence to seek help.

A Shreveport man was sentenced for attempting to strangle his wife.

Shreveport Police would like to encourage those who are victims of Domestic Violence to seek assistance.

Johnson is wanted for two counts of two counts of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, Domestic Abuse Battery upon a pregnant victim, and Domestic Abuse Battery with Strangulation.

And the parents both tested positive for drugs. Surprise, surprise. The death of a two year old Orlando area toddler occurred in 2009. The parents' court trial begins this week. The mother and her boyfriend are charged with third degree murder, manslaughter and child neglect. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the couple could get 35 years each if found guilty.
