Yesterday we shared some shocking photos of the conditions at Lake Bistineau. Sadly the State Park seems to be deteriorating. Well, after seeing the photos we decided to compile a list: "Top 10 Signs You Need a New Lake."

The deterioration of Lake Bistineau State Park is quite surprising to me. If you've been under a rock or maybe you are new to the area, Lake Bistineau is covered in a thick green carpet of Giant Salvinia and the park appears to be slowly falling apart. Is there anything we can do to salvage the glory of this once beautiful retreat?

Hooray for the weekend! And its actually going to cool off a bit over the next few days in Kiss Country. Don't get too excited, it will still be pretty darn warm with high temperatures in the 90's. We know where the best pools and parks can be found and what movies are hot this weekend.

Get ready for a fabulously festive light show over Caddo Lake this weekend! The Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival kicks off at 3:30 this Saturday afternoon in Oil City. This is a free event with live music, games, and food all overlooking beautiful Caddo Lake.
