When it comes to hole-in-the-wall spots, Shreveport is full of them.

I made the promise a long time ago to share great things about restaurants I find instead of bashing restaurants where I had a bad experience. If I find a great dish somewhere or have an amazing experience somewhere I don't stop talking about it.

Whenever I have someone visit from out of town, I always make sure to take them to Herby K's! From their excellent service to their even better food, nothing says you're in the south like a visit to the quaint restaurant!

Herby K's is throwing a big party on Sunday and all of the proceeds will go to Petsavers.

Historic Shreveport restaurant Herby K's is hosting its 4th Annual Block Party and Benefit Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, from 1-6 p.m.
