The Bossier City Fire Department was busy this afternoon fighting several grass fires along I-20 near Airline Drive.

Tis the season. . .the season to read about another garage turkey fryer explosion fire. Hopefully word has spread of the potential dangers of frying turkeys and everyone is actually doing it the right way now, cautiously.

With fires ravaging multiple areas across the Ark-La-Tex our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost homes, memories, loved ones, pets, livestock, and property. Many firefighters and volunteers are working throughout these areas attempting to contain fires, save lives and salvage properties. With that in mind, here are some ways you can help these brave men and women.

Well kids, looks like you won't get to pop your fireworks if you live in the city limits of Shreveport or in Bossier Parish.  Just got the word from Fred Sanders, Assistant to the Fire Chief of Shreveport.
