Tuesday Severe Storm: High Winds and Hail Possible in Shreveport
Just as the mud began to dry in the Shreveport and Northwest Louisiana area, the rain has moved back into the area, and it would appear it plans to stick around a while.

According to the most recent 10-day forecast from The Weather Channel, we'll see a brief reprieve from the rain a little later this morning, but apparently we shouldn't get used to it as things could get rocky in the next twenty four to thirty six hours.
Showers are expected to end this morning, however things will remain cloudy this afternoon with an afternoon high of 66. Then, after midnight tonight, the National Weather Service in Shreveport says we'll see an approximate 69% chance for occasional rain showers with thunder and a low of 62.
However, it's the storms moving into the area tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4, that has the attention of the National Weather Service as they have just listed the Shreveport area as having an "Elevated Risk" of severe weather from late tomorrow morning through the evening hours.
Along with the possibility of over one inch of rainfall, the National Weather Service is warning there could be damaging wind gusts in excess of 60+ mph, possible tornadoes and quarter-sized hail.
The highest risk for these storms appears to be across Southwest Arkansas and across much of North and Central Louisiana.
Of course, the National Weather Service reminds us that the timing of these storms and their severity could change as we get closer to their expected arrival, so please keep checking back for more information as it becomes available.
