So, I have to come clean on this one. Kathy Moore wrote us a letter about her daughter that made my cry.

I know. Big old, hairy legged, deer hunting, bass catching, redneck, squalling like a little girl because of the words on a piece of paper.

Truth be told. I would bet that there's no one on the planet who wouldn't cry if they took the time to read the nomination letter that Kathy penned about her beautiful daughter Stephanie Moore.

And it's Stephanie's heart that we celebrated today. It's full of goodness, kindness, giving and caring. She's certainly one of a kind and a shoe-in as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just read that letter. Caution though, you're going to need Kleenex first.

I want to take a moment to tell you about a very kindhearted and loving young lady. Stephanie is an amazing soul; she was diagnosed with ocular melanoma in 2014, which was a rare cancer in her age group. Stephanie was finishing her first year at Louisiana Tech when we found out the news. She was sent to Memphis Tennessee to one of the top eye specialist and St Jude's accepted her as their patient. She never once gave up nor did she stop going towards her goals and although she did lose one of her eyes, we have her. She is always stopping to help someone out whether it is helping another across the street or carrying their load for them. When she enters into a room, her smile and her happiness always brighten the room. Her Aunt recently passed away from cancer, and she never left her aunts side spending the days and evenings with her to help care for her. She goes above a nd beyond to make sure that whoever she is around is laughing and will ask them if it is ok that she gives them a hug. Although she has had a bad hand dealt to her you would never know it because she does not dwell on her mishaps but uses hers to lift other people up always offering to lend a hand or buy them a meal. Never does Stephanie put herself above others. If she has a jacket on, she will take it off to cover up someone nearby that is cold. I am blessed and honored to have her as my daughter. I often sit and just watch as she enters in a room full of complete strangers and makes her way around to either hug or smile and speak to everyone leaving not one not spoken to. When talking with her she always describes others as the beauty she sees in everyone. She is truly an angel among us. She is my hero, and my best friend. She is also getting married this next year and this is the day that she will be a beautiful princess for everyone to see. I love her and I thank God daily that He has blessed me and those around her because she is truly a wonderful and amazing young lady.

Stephanie Moore, because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner.

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Stephanie to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
