Jennifer knew when she was young that she couldn't deny her love for animals, and it's that passion that has driven her to provide the love and care for so many in the northwest Louisiana area.

In fact, without actually having ever met Jennifer in person until one dreaded day, Shonna Porterfield knew that Jenn was sent from above to care for her beloved pet.

Just take a look at the amazing nomination letter we received from Shonna and you'll see how easy it was to recognize Jennifer as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

I've been fb friends with Jennifer for 5 years but never met n person. She's has always been there for me when during pet emergencies as she works for a emergency clinic. Unfortunately, I personally got to meet Jennifer in person for the first time and the emergency was my daughters dog, sweet Layla. I messaged Jennifer and she said come on, I got ya. Upon arrival she met me with a team and wheeled my pet away which I knew was sick but not critical. Within 5 min, Dr. Monceaux and Jennifer spent respected time describing to me the severity of our situation. They sprung into action as I headed home so she could be stabilized knowing she would be ready to pick up in the morning as she was not "critical". Things went downhill quickly and for the best interest of my pup, she needed to be relieved of her pain immediately as all neurological signs were gone. Jennifer asked me if I wanted to be there but I could not delay the process and keep her in pain so I told Jennifer that my pups peace was more important. Jennifer replied "okay, I'm going to hold her, hug her, kiss her and let her know how much you love her and I will not let her pass alone". The compassion, love, professionalism, and kindness that Jennifer and the staff at Valor 24/7 Animal Hospital showed during such a difficult time will forever be in may heart. Jennifer is the hardest working most unselfish person I know. The suicide rate in the Veterinarian community is unreal and this is why, it's hard. She deserves this award and more!

Jennifer Wilson-White, because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you to come have dinner.

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Jennifer to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
