April 12 is the next big date on the country concert calendar for 2014. With George Strait and Luke Bryan setting the stage for this to be one of the greatest concert years in recent history, we're only just beginning. Next up is the Brantley Gilbert Tour at Centurylink Center!

Brantley was here a couple years ago as he opened for Eric Church. This time around, he's the headliner and he's bringing some awesome entertainers -- Thomas Rhett and Eric Pasley -- with him.

With that in mind, we thought you might be interested to find out a few things about Brantley you probably didn't know.

  • From Jefferson, Georgia right outside Athens.  He's a huge Georgia Bulldogs football fan.
  • He wrote "My Kinda Party" which was a number one smash hit for Jason Aldean and co-wrote with Colt Ford, Jason's "Dirt Road Anthem" which was also a top ten tune
  • Brantley says he has a police record in Panama City.  However, he says, "but I don’t recall it. My arrest report says I’ve been to Panama City a few times. I was a wild one back in them days. A lot of my buddies know the story better than I do."
  • Really good friends with former KTBS Sports Anchor Leslie Spoon
  • Says he has four HUGE fears.  Snakes, sharks, deep water and commitment!
  • Was engaged to country entertainer Jana Kramer for about 7 months in 2013.
  • Says a near fatal truck wreck when he was 19 was the turning point of his life and what drove him to his music career
