If you're a fan of live music and are looking at getting out of Shreveport-Bossier for a day or two, this is an event you might want to check out this week. Texas Country Band Flatland Cavalry is playing at Choctaw Landing Casino & Resort in Hochatown, Oklahoma on Friday July 24th.

Flatland Cavalry is a country/Americana band from Lubbock, Texas. Since their formation in 2012, they've released 5 critically acclaimed albums and have gained a huge following due in large part to their amazing live shows.

Choctaw Landing, if you've never been, is a pretty incredible complex with 600 slot machines, table games, pool with cabanas, an outdoor amphitheater (where Flatland will be playing), and all sorts of dining and entertainment options. To keep things short - If you're looking to get away, this is pretty solid option.
