On August 2nd, 2022, at 12:05 a.m. Shreveport Police responded to a residence in the 5600 block of South Lakeshore Drive in reference to a domestic dispute. As officers arrived it was discovered that a female victim was being held inside of the residence against her will.

Domestic Violence Detectives responded to the scene and found that the female was reportedly being held captive by her husband who was armed with a firearm.

Hostage Negotiators were called to the scene around 1:39a.m. and Shreveport Police Special Response Team was active. Around 5:00 a.m. the suspect surrendered and was identified as Freddie Robinson (02/13/1954).

Freddie Robinson was arrested and charged with one count of false imprisonment and one count of simple assault. The victim was found to be safe. Further charges for Robinson are pending.
