Shreveport Police Arrest Woman for Fatal Crash

On February 15, 2023, at 7:35 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 5800 block of Flournoy Lucas Road for a crash involving two vehicles. Officers arrived and located a 2016 Chevy Equinox and a 2015 Cadillac Escalade which were overturned and off the roadway.

Upon arrival, one adult driver, and two child passengers were found in the Cadillac Escalade, and one adult passenger, and two child passengers were found in the Chevy Equinox. Five out of the six transported were in serious condition, and unfortunately, the driver of the Chevy Equinox was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crash Investigators photographed and documented the scene. There were two outside witnesses that stated they witnessed the crash. Investigators learned that the Cadillac Escalade was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed eastbound on Flournoy Lucas Rd. in the westbound lane. At the same time, the Chevy Equinox was traveling westbound on Flournoy Lucas Rd. The Cadillac Escalade hit the Chevy Equinox head-on, and the resulting crash caused both vehicles to overturn.

After the investigation of the incident, the driver of the Cadillac Escalade, Lakimberly Bradford (08/16/1992), was arrested and charged with one count of Negligent homicide, five counts of Negligent injuring, two counts of second-degree cruelty to juveniles, and one count of Aggravated obstruction of a highway of commerce.
