Shreveport Making Changes to Garbage Collection Starting July 14th

If you’re a resident of Shreveport get ready to make some changes when it comes to your garbage collection. The city is changing the way it collects bulk items and other solid waste next month. Starting July 14th residents will need to schedule an appointment if they want the city to pick up bulk trash items (furniture, appliances, tires, tree limbs etc). Residents must call 318-673-6300 if they want to schedule an appointment.
The city is also discontinuing a fee for backdoor collection for single-family homes. Other changes are going to take affect the same day you can see those here
