Shreveport Woman Behind Bars After Domestic Stabbing
On June 20th, 2023, around 9:15 a.m. Shreveport Police Department Patrol officers were contacted in reference to a report of domestic trouble in the 5400 block of Norton Street.
The responding officers determined that two individuals were in a domestic dispute when Marcy Thornton (10-5-90) grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was also arrested after being found to have outstanding warrants.
Thornton was arrested for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with a dangerous weapon.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
