Shreveport- Bossier City Establishments Thanking Our Military on Veterans Day With Free Meals

Everyday we should say thank you and show appreciation for our local active military and veterans in Kiss Country but today November 11^th is the official day to show appreciation. There are approximately 21.2 million military vets in the U.S today. The Vietnam War has the most living veterans, with approximately 7.4 million and there are still about 1.6 million living World War Two vets. With that in mind there are several local establishments that are offering free or discounted meals to say “Thanks”.

Below is the list we know of:

• Horseshoe Casino and Harrah's Louisiana Downs is offering a free buffet
• Applebee's will provide a special Veteran's Day menu of free food for service members.
• Wendy's will offer veterans a free sausage biscuit Monday morning.
• The Texas Roadhouse located in Bossier City will have a free lunch for veterans.
• On the Border Mexican Grill will offer a free "create your own combo menu" to veterans.
• Margaritaville Resort Casino is offering veterans a bogo buffet at their World Tour Buffet.
• Boomtown Hotel & Casino’s Cattleman's Buffet will offer a complimentary breakfast, lunch or dinner.
• Denny's Restaurants is offering up an all-you-can-eat pancakes offer.
• Chili's is giving a free entree for veterans.
• Mane Cuts in Bossier City is offering free haircuts from noon to 6 p.m.

Proof of service is required for all of these deals.
