Each week we show our appreciation to an individual so willing to give of themselves, their hearts and their time. We do that with the Caught in the Act Award.

But, before we have the chance to learn anything about these true Saints, we really have someone else we should thank first.

This week, that person is Erin Riddle. See, Erin took the time to tell us about Sharon Farris. Had Erin not taken the initiative to submit Sharon's nomination, we might have never known about the blessings that Sharon has brought all those around her.

So THANK YOU Erin and THANK YOU Sharon for being the kind of person who brings light in times of darkness. Sharon is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award and it all started with this awesome letter from Erin!

Oh, where to start... Miss Sharon is truly indescribable. Sharon is a mama to 3 wonderful humans and was very active in school events while they were growing up. From coaching cheer and softball to following the rodeo while her son rode, to seeing her son off when he joined the military. A few years ago, Sharon welcomed her niece into their home to give her a life she deserves. She again, without hesitation jumped back into coaching softball. Sharon is a "gaga" to 7 kiddos however, this number is subjective. She welcomed myself and my daughter into her family along with many others. During tax season, you will see her sitting at a desk working her magic, and in her free time she can be spotted at a ball park or hanging with her grands. Sharon is a breast cancer survivor and even while battling this horrible disease, she still gave of herself. During this time she continued to coach cheerleading! She has expressed that those girls gave her what she needed to keep going. Sharon has made many positive impacts for so many individuals, even in some real rough times. She truly is a beacon of hope and light for many.
